Prior to joining our Office, Andrea was in private practice, primarily handling criminal matters. In 2012, she served as an attorney on the trial team for Edwin Ramos, who was accused of a triple homicide in a case that brought much attention to San Francisco’s Sanctuary City policies. Andrea joined the office in 2012 as a volunteer attorney and was hired as a trial attorney in 2013. She has worked in the misdemeanor and felony trial rotations, Young Adult Court, Clean Slate, and litigated multiple resentencing petitions in life cases. She is on the board of directors of the Community Action Agency for the Urban Services YMCA, which focuses on the elimination of poverty in San Francisco. She earned her B.A. at San Diego State University and her J.D. from the University of California College of Law, San Francisco.
